Meet The Speakers

                Evangelist Jolly Opiyo 

 

Evangelist Opiyo, was born in Uganda and is a member of the Acholi tribe. She fled her homeland due to the rise of a dictatorship. Because of the dictatorship, she has lived in several countries. Some of these countries include Kenya, Northern Ireland, and Zambia; however, it was in her current country of residence, Botswana, where she accepted the Lord Jesus as her Savior.

 

She is an ordained Pastor and an evangelist. She has traveled to various countries in Africa (Uganda, Mozambique, Namibia and Zimbabwe) teaching and preaching the Word of God and winning souls for Christ. She has received a certificate in Christian counseling, training in prayer, and prophecy through her home church. She currently ministers to police officers in the capital city of Botswana and ministers to women in the women’s prison. Evangelist Opiyo is also a marriage counselor. She counsels women and leads a women’s prayer groups made up of women from several denominations. By the grace of God, Evangelist Opiyo is in the process of launching a ministry called “Widow’s Love Ministry”. A retired high school teacher by profession, Mrs. Opiyo owns two kindergartens, in which she offers free foundational education to orphans and needy children.

Her heart's desire is to build schools catering to orphans. This ministry will also empower widows involved in the Widow’s Love Ministry, to use their gifts to help nurture the children.

Evangelist Opiyo is a mother of 4 children, prides in her 7 grandchildren, and is following in the footsteps of her late husband, Dr. W.J. Opiyo. Evangelist Opiyo seeks to serve others through the spreading of the Gospel and living a life worthy of His calling.
